Yup its a top-down shooter
If you like top-down shooters, you'll like this. Ability to customize weapons is good, but you unlock weapon slots? I didn't care for that, What if i wanted 3 weak guns as opposed to one sniper? I noticed you can change gun dirrection, but that wont really help till you have three guns, huh? Also the strong-slow shot gun is supposed to have higher dps than the rapid fire to make it more effective against crafts with high health (you might be overwhelmed by tons of trash but not by the heavy crafts, or the other way around for rapid-fire guns) soundtrack and graphics were good, though you can hide your ship pretty far off the screen if you fly back enough. It really lacked the bells and whistles to make it an incredible game though. All the weapons are standard projectiles. What about missiles, lasers, waves, chain attacks. The only items that drop are money, and I end up dying alot trying to pick them up. Can i has money magnet plz? By the colors of the gems I thought you were going with the LoZ rupee system (green = 1, blue = 5 etc.) but i never found out for sure... The world 2 boss was alot easier than the two heavy fighters just before it... I often ended up dieing before fighting the boss. So yeah, it feels like a beta.

yay, recognition!
I like hearing the song i wrote as the menu theme for this game. Thanks for choosing mine! Anyway, the game has an interesting concept, and it gets really challenging, maybe add some a hint system if u make an enDice 2

[Song of Storms Dubstep V2]*

Looking at the other remixes out there...
I just uploaded my version of the song of storms, so i decided to look at the other remixes on newgrounds... Its a hard call saying which one of ours is better... Taking pygmalionism (the love of one's own art) into account, your'se is probably better, though I'd love it if you gave mine a look.. ^^''
Now for the review. I really like the piano part, how it was layered and had the reverse effect, though at some point the different lines became hard to distinguish (around 1:00). This is an easy trap to fall in if your used to hearing all the parts separately in your head, but it could use some more effects, maybe a low pass filter to make the harmony less punchy, so the melody sticks out. On the contrary, the harmony at 2:48 was a little hard to make out, i could only pick out some of the notes, maybe try raising the whole line up an octave? just an idea.
I hope this helps :D
The intro is flawless in the sense of creating chaos with a piano. You're not really supposed to be able to tell the difference between the notes, however they all blend and real parts of the song.
I have listened to your song and have left a review. I don't mean to be bias whatsoever but I believe my track is better than yours.

A fine start
The only thing i found overtly wrong is the drums sounded pretty thin. Sounds like you recorded a live set and then looped it, which is fine, but it also sounds like you used only one mic on the entire set. Specifically, the hi-hat is by far the loudest part of the set, but musically the least important, and the bass and snare needed more in the low end. The guitar(s) sounded really great though, I'm guessing you used a DI? The only other thing i can think of is the song is really short but that kind of thing is really up to the artist.
I'm learning a big manual and the intricasies of the machine at the same time learning guitars..lol
Also I compiled the guitars, drums and bass without setting the correct volumes...
It's lots of fun and I love the challenge but I need to find more stuff on this recorder..lol
Thanks for the critique...
Much appreciated..JQ

Perfect!
Perfect amount of wetness to dryness. You got delay, reverb, abstact sounds, pads, layered instruments all going at the same time and it still sounds amazingly clear. Major kudos on the mixing! I'll definitely be coming back to this one :P

really nice :D
an improvement could be that you take into consideration the direction of the lighting when drawing the glasses glare. The glasses say the light source is on the right, while the shadows say its on the top left.

I see where glynie was coming from but...
The true worth of this submission was in how it makes so many jokes about anime, especially shonen, rather than the art style or the sound. Not only that, but it presents the jokes in such a subtle manner that it does not break the epic staredown shonen is known for. He clearly didn't understand the crucial joke about bewbs. I think it deserves its high score. Personally i think it could have been drawn to look more like anime and less like flash, since anime has such a specific way of drawing things. I know its nit picking but that's really what separates 9's from 10's in my book :x
